A one day National Conference begins today (October 9, 2018) to take stock on the progress so far reached in the implementation of climate change policies , with specific focus on the devolved units of governance.
The Conference, organised by the Council of Governors (CoG), the County Assemblies Forum (CAF), the Pan Africa Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) , among other partners is held as a pre-event of the seventh edition of the Climate Change and Development in Africa Conference (CCDA-VII), which will be taking place in Nairobi on 10 – 12 October 2018

Kenya remains committed to meeting its obligation under the Paris Agreement, Hon. Keriako Tobiko, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forestry has said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first National Conference on Climate Governance in Nairobi on Tuesday 9th October 2018, Hon Keriako who was represented by Hon. Mohammed Elmi, the Chief Administration Secretary at the ministry, however, cautioned that the delivery of this commitment is subject to international support in form of finance, investment, capacity building, and technology development and transfer.
